Greetings, and welcome! My name is Carl W. Byer, although just about everyone calls me Lou, if you need to know why, buy me a beer and I'll tell you. I hope you like the drawings, paintings, and illustrations I've put on my web site. Most of them come from photos I've taken at race tracks and SCCA events. All the pieces you will see are originals, including the new computer illustrations, note cards, Christmas cards, postcards and race car marketing materials.

I do commissioned art work, from drawings and paintings, of your car, motorcycle, boat, or kart to custom airbrushed motorcycle tanks and fender graphics. I also design logos, T-shirts, and complete paint schemes for race cars. I can give you presentation drawings to show a sponsor what your car will look like with their logo and colors to show them how you will represent them at the track. I also create one of a kind airbrush work for motorcycles, and soon I will be adding helmets to my list. Illustrations for mag azines, event posters, program covers and autograph cards are all within my capabilities.

I recently began a series of computer illustrations I call Louietoons. These are humorous looks at what really lies beneath the skin of a race car. I am producing postcards and t-shirts from these drawings, call or email me about them!

Because I have always enjoyed photography I have begun producing note cards and prints of some of the beautiful scenes I find around my rural home. Using my Canon 20D digital camera, I can shoot then design and print beautiful note cards and post cards. I can also do this with your race car, motorcycle, boat or kart, to create autograph cards or other marketing materials, just something else to use to help get your race program noticed.
